He is a co-author of the original SANS Top 10 Internet Threats, the SANS Top 20 Internet Threats and the SANS Consensus Roadmap for Defeating DDoS Attacks. He was a recipient of the SANS Institute's Security Technology Leadership Award for 2000, the VA Governor's Technology Silver Award in 2003 and the EDUCAUSE Excellence in Information Technology Solutions Team Award in 2005.

Bob Relyea discusses emerging technologies in the design of modern IT data centers. Bob has been a member of the greater Richmond IT community for over 12 years. He has served as a network analyst for companies such as CarMax, Capital One and Patient First. From 2002 through 2006 he was a consultant for SyCom Technologies where he developed a passion for building IP networks supporting converged applications. Bob has designed and supported networks in many different vertical markets. He is currently a Systems Engineer at Cisco Systems supporting local commercial clients.
